Financial Benefits for Petrol/LPG

Autogas can cut your fuel costs in half, it is 38 pence per litre on average as opposed to around 80 pence for Unleaded.

Based on Figures from
Running costs of LPG are far less than those for petrol and diesel as shown by the illustration.

Fleet users (even small fleets) can sometimes take advantage of bunker installations thus reducing the price of LPG to around 25 pence per litre saving even more.

The government have committed to not increasing the duty element on Autogas until at least 2004.

As the environment is at the top of the present political agenda it is viewed as unlikely that they will significantly increase it even after this time.

The duty has actually been reduced for the last four budgets.

Government incentives are available to help pay for some conversions to vehicles that appear on their Powershift register. This is a complicated process and we can help establish your eligibility and assist with the process.

Converted vehicles can be exempt from charges and restrictions into city centres that are proposed from 2003. It is expected that most city centres will be running similar programs by 2005.

Because Autogas burns cleaner, oil change intervals are extended and engine wear is reduced on many vehicles. There is no carbon deposit build up which makes the engine run smoother and often quieter.
